Michael’s film: Part 1 here. » Part 2 here.
Among the different kinds of people who showed up in Ottawa - as trucker participants or supporters - there was a significant Christian community.
Some of these people were a quiet source of comfort to those in distress. In his film celebrating the truckers, Ottawa resident Michael Grandlouis relates two relevant anecdotes. The first involves his knee, which started to hurt due to the unusual amount of walking he was doing:
This one guy, out of nowhere, he comes up to me - just someone who really looked like he was at peace with things - and says, ‘I notice you’ve got a bit of a limp there.’
And I said, ‘Yes.’
And he asked me, ‘Can I pray for you?’
And I said, ‘Man, if you want to pray for me I can use all the prayers you can muster,’ right?
So he put his hand on my shoulder and a hand on my chest and he said ‘Dear God, our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for Michael.’ And he prayed. He prayed for me.
And you know, I was walking back [home] and I swear to God my knee felt better, it felt better…Yeah, so that happened…
The second incident took place near the end of the protest. Witnessing violent and unprofessional police behaviour was upsetting. Michael says that, in the midst of this, a woman approached him:
she comes up, and she shakes my hand…and then she gave me this Virgin Mary medallion.
And she put it in my hand like that [and then she closed my hand]. That was it.
He holds the medallion up to the camera - emotional as he remembers the compassion of a stranger.
Love Letter to the Truckers - Ottawa resident celebrates the Freedom Convoy in an 80-minute film
MSM denigrating the the convoy and all their beautiful supporters as well as firms like ENDIGO who refuse to allocate the Toronto star best Selling Book of Weeks (Convoy 2022 by Andrew Lawton as well as a number of other books on the Convoy) in their store. Just because it is their stores and their sandboxes/ no business has the right to decide what the public reads - this reminds of Nazi Germany and current communist countries! - as a result I will no longer spend a nickel in any ENDIGO store - I already have purchased a number of these books as gifts for my family and friends from Amazon. The important value of history books is they continue to educate and inform younger generations of the past and this is what our Governments don’t want!
Truckers like all Canadians like to be independent and decide things for themselves (that is why they chose trucking for the careers) - the amazing thing is this whole operation and Super Major Historic Event that was organized overnight and developed and deployed to Ottawa - although not properly controlled or lead or directed actually resulted in such a loving and peaceful event that is One of Canada’s Finest Hours that should never be forgotten- Meanwhile we had and still have MSM denigrating
