Regarding “Honestly, Integrity, Accountability” - this letter to the Toronto Star Editor dated Oct. 21/21 - Headed “Hospital executive shows leadership on transplant issue” - Re Transplant centres facing ethical dilemma, Oct. 15 - Kudos to UHN CEO, Kevin Smith, for once again displaying courage, humanity and intellect by introducing policy requiring transplant recipients to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19! His initial directive for all UHN employees to be fully vaccinated or face dismissal led the way for other institutions to follow suit. It’s promising to see a true leader stand up over the noise, ignorance and selfishness and implement positive, sensible controls. I wish we had some of this in government. Maurice Sacco, Toronto - I wish that this Inquiry would of had the legal power to order Kevin Smith and Maurice Sacco to be questioned to explain how sentencing an unvaccinated person to a slow death could possibly be legal (since the deaths penalty for murderers was ended by Pierre Trudeau since Apr. 26/76) - and considered displaying courage, humanity and intellect while to this day that same “HEALTH NETWORK has been willing to harvest all organs from an UNVAXXED DONOR. - Both of these DESPICABLE IDiOTS deserves to be made to answer for their ACTIONS, VIEWS AND STATEMENTS!!!!
Donna, my eternal gratitude for finding this story. I personally experienced no real hardship during this Covid lockdown travesty. I’m a retired, debit-free, rural, semi-hermit with no children. My parents died some 12 years ago and so that heartbreak was also behind me.
That said, I did try ineffectively, to urge our politicians not to bring in their insane lockdown, knowing the tragedy they were creating. The short-sightedness of their lockdown was obvious to most rational people after the first month.
Vitriol courses through my body for every politician, for our leader, yes, but every back-bencher and opposition member particularly, as they could have stopped it. They instead took pay raises and shut down parliament, willingly. For every single one, justice served would see the word evil carved in their headstones. The appeasement began with our spineless, rubber-stampers support for the insane regulation from above.
