So glad you discovered and have written about this Manitoba funeral director Donna. And although that police officer could have been more gracious, I think his response shows the pressure he was also under.

Donna, my eternal gratitude for finding this story. I personally experienced no real hardship during this Covid lockdown travesty. I’m a retired, debit-free, rural, semi-hermit with no children. My parents died some 12 years ago and so that heartbreak was also behind me.

That said, I did try ineffectively, to urge our politicians not to bring in their insane lockdown, knowing the tragedy they were creating. The short-sightedness of their lockdown was obvious to most rational people after the first month.

Vitriol courses through my body for every politician, for our leader, yes, but every back-bencher and opposition member particularly, as they could have stopped it. They instead took pay raises and shut down parliament, willingly. For every single one, justice served would see the word evil carved in their headstones. The appeasement began with our spineless, rubber-stampers support for the insane regulation from above.
