Freedom Convoy truckers were well fed - both on their way to Ottawa, and during the weeks they remained there. In the words of Kyra, a 14-year-old Manitoba resident who was the passenger in a truck driven by her mother:
I don’t remember what town it was, but if you slowed down at a stop light, the next thing you know there’s a guy running down the street with a pizza box for you. Just handing out pizzas.
Once the convoy had settled in at the nation’s capital, supporters frequently called a nearby pizza chain. In mom Stephanie Pituley’s words: “I think we were delivered a pizza or two every day.”
Well-wishers brought coffee and distributed flowers. Steak dinners - accompanied by potatoes and salad - were prepared by a woman who resides on the outskirts of Ottawa. She fed them on three occasions. Explains Stephanie:
They’d asked us what we wanted for dinner one night. At first, she was going to invite everyone to her house. And then we’re like, ‘Oh, we really shouldn’t leave the trucks.’ So she’s like, ‘Oh, no worries. I’ll just precook them.’
Recalls Kyra:
She brought steak dinners for the people on our block, the truck drivers in our group. She brought this big dinner for everyone. And her daughter is actually around my age…and so I met her kind of through her mom bringing food to us.
…The second time they brought food, they brought chicken burgers - which I loved, they’re amazing.
On the final Thursday, when Ottawa was overflowing with police and tensions were mounting, Kyra went home with these folks. Explains Stephanie:
When we have our law enforcement coming out with batons and guns and shields, and they’re in large numbers, that’s no longer safe. They’ve now turned it into a - quote-unquote - ‘war zone.’
And that’s no place for a child. So that’s when she left.

It restores my soul to read about the wonderful humanity in Ottawa after the other blogs I read this morning that are focussing on the reality of the horrors. For example, Steve Kirsch brings us estimations of how many have been killed now worldwide with the jab - important to know but hard to read.
It’s really lovely Donna, that you are reminding us that with every situation in life, there is good pushing against the evil,
Thank you so much for the truckers in Canada, the farmers in Holland, and before them the farmers in India who didn’t get as much press but who protested in the capital for 9 months until the government backed down. These are the forces of good standing up against evil.
