The intersection of Metcalfe and Albert streets in downtown Ottawa is three blocks south of Parliament Hill. The trucks parked at this intersection had one of the very best views during the three-week-long Freedom Convoy protest.
In the photo above, please notice that one traffic lane remained open. This reduced the disruption to Ottawa residents, and ensured emergency service vehicles could get where they needed to.
Two of the trucks in that front row were from Manitoba - 2,000 km (1,200 miles) away. The third was from Saskatchewan - 3,000 kilometers (1,800 miles) away. They parked there on January 29th, and remained for 22 days.
I’ve interviewed the occupants of the red truck, in the center, and am looking forward to telling you their story.
