Part 1: Exceptional Enthusiasm
A paper lunch bag, now empty. A hand-written, French-language greeting from Drummondville, Quebec:
“Merci infiniment du fond du coeur.”
Translation: “Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart.”
A 4x6-inch photograph of a woman holding a protest sign. In the background, Guy Meister looks out the window of his Mack (note the street sign above him).
On the back of this photograph Christine, who indicates she’s a French-speaking woman from New Brunswick, tells Guy he reminds her of her father “who passed away last year” and who also drove a Mack.
Again, these words are uttered: “Thank you…From the bottom of my heart.”
Guy’s trial for mischief and obstructing police will resume in Ottawa on the first Thursday and Friday of the New Year. It would be marvelous if folks who live in or near the capital were able to attend. More info here.
10 am, January 4th and January 5th
Courtroom 11
161 Elgin Street, Ottawa
Thanks for keeping track of Guy’s court dates and encouraging those nearby to attend.
A beautiful note and I am sure it helps his heart but we really need justice now.
