I will note that Fox News (but only Fox News), who were covering the speech live had & continues to have good coverage.

Thankfully we have X, Substack, & Independent Media:

In December I wrote: "Luckily, despite many governments' best efforts, there are many newer smaller groups cropping up who want to do the real work who are growing and thriving, thanks in no small part to the internet and today's technology. I share nearly every post on Facebook & X. Here is what I added to my shares today:

"I really encourage everyone to follow Donna's Substack. She is doing an excellent job of telling the real Truckers story, & in this case, how the press covered the shooting."

Yes indeed.

I was just reading a CBC article this morning about the photographers on site at the rally from the New York Times and Associated Press. The AP guy (Vucci) who took the iconic message of Trump with his fist raise with the flag in the background, is quoted as saying he knew immediately that the "popping sounds" were gun fire and acted accordingly. ("Photographers capture frightening, fascinating angles to Trump shooting," CBC, 15 July)

Yet the newspaper editors chose to pretend they didn't know this.
