Ontario & East Coast truckers take to the road the same day Ted and Sally arrive in Cochrane.

Friday, January 28th. Half of the western arm of the Freedom Convoy wakes up in Cochrane, Ontario. They’re still 700 kilometers (440 miles) from Ottawa.
Let’s take a moment to remind ourselves what else was going on. Southern Ontario trucks had begun rolling the day before. Separate arms of the Freedom Convoy left the Windsor and Niagara regions early Thursday, January 27th. Cheered on by packed highway overpasses, many of these truckers had already settled in for the night in Kingston before Ted and Sally made it to Cochrane.
Convoy trucks also hit the road Thursday morning in the Maritimes, on Canada’s east coast. Members of the public gathered at 7 am near the Halifax airport to applaud their own, Ottawa-bound heroes. I wrote about that below:
