Wildly and with enthusiasm. And not just in one region of the country. The truckers received rock star treatment everywhere they went. During those heady days, farm tractors rolled into provincial capitals, Alberta cowboys saddled up, and Canadian flags were flown from countless hockey sticks. No matter how distant their communities, individuals found ways to make their voices heard.
Michael Grandlouis is absolutely correct. The people stepped up - and the politicians backed down.
