What a SHAME for other journalists - assigned to 'cover' this historic event - to avoid real news happening right in front of their eyes, or within earshot. If you heard the cry for volunteers from the stage, other 'journalists' must have heard it too? Unbelievable.
As a late follower, I love hearing the back story! We happened to be protesting in Edmonton (not our usual location) after this happened and I remember all the jerry cans people brought along to symbolize their disdain to what was happening. Everyone used the cans as drums as we chanted down the streets. Brilliant convoy story - thank you for sharing! So glad you were there!
