Thank you for this Donna. Yes, "absolutely massive." Our family felt it at the time, knew history was being made. My heart was exploding with pride. And now, it explodes with pride every day to see you document these events. Thank you for being a real journalist.
This, without a mention of tens of thousands vocal, enthusiastic, flag-waving supporters along the routes, atop bridges. And the many thousands sitting it out at home, perhaps a silent majority? Who knows? Canadians showed themselves, strong and free, capable of fight, when confronted with intolerable and arbitrary rules.
and thank you Donna for getting the story directly from Ian. He puts all the corporate journaliers to shame. He's able to see genuine people and describe them, pain and all.
It needs to be pointed out, the truckers came to Ottawa to to talk, to talk to a prime minister who would not listen when they cried to be heard from where they lived. They tried to make him understand that it was about their ability to work and so they brought their tools, their trucks and still that PM ignored them.
He called up the goon squad.

And he still hasn’t changed one iota. He, and Freeland, couldn’t care less about Canadians. “Our trading partners are more important”. Yea, right. Klaus Schwab must be really important to them.
I absolutely believe that it was way more people. We sometimes had up to 5,000 people at the legislature just in Victoria. Many were those who were put on unpaid leave or outright fired by employers or the government, some were vax injured who received no support from the medical system, and many were just fed up with the mandates. They always lied about the numbers there too, and the cops tried their best to keep people away but they found a way in.
At the time our premier was John Horgan and he wouldn't talk to us either, he told us to "get a hobby". He came down with cancer and died recently.

Anyone know how many Canadian Federal Civil Servants there are, and more to the point how many live/work in Ottawa?
Just wondering the comparison convoy to Civil Servants.
