I still find it almost unbelievable that we were effectively told that they could safely & effectively administer a new vax. that obviously could not have been fully tested yet, plus a drug that was proven unsafe long ago, however, they did not how to safely administer drugs that have been around for decades with proven safety records (one even won a noble price).
Years ago, when our 2nd. dog had cancer, we did the traditional treatments, plus some holistic treatments. Our regular vet was opposed to the holistic treatments, he believed there was no evidence to show they worked, not that they did not work or help, just no evidence/studies to prove it. I always asked the same question. Will they do any harm? His response, was he could not see them doing any harm. So we proceeded doing both, after all, it did not have to be an or, it could be an and.
We will never really know if the holistic treatments helped, but if there is not a down side, then why not try.
