Court Jester Mark Carney
Sedition accusations levelled the same day a judge ruled the trucker protest was peaceful & lawful.
Part 1: What Mark Carney Said About the Convoy
Part 2: Mark Carney's Imaginary Sedition
Mark Carney wanted Freedom Convoy truckers and their supporters punished. In the Globe and Mail on February 7, 2022, he falsely accused them of sedition and called for dire consequences:
Those who are still helping to extend this occupation must be identified and punished to the full force of the law.
How mortifying for Mr Carney that his remarks were published the exact same day that Superior Court Justice Hugh McLean issued a 3-page Convoy injunction. After listening to arguments for and against (see 8 pages of court transcript here), the judge banned horn honking in Ottawa for 10 days.
The injunction gave police the right to remove and arrest anyone who defied this ban. Otherwise, it said,
THIS COURT ORDERS that, provided the terms of this Order are complied with, the Defendants and other persons remain at liberty to engage in a peaceful, lawful and safe protest. [paragraph 7, bold added]
Court jester Mark Carney said there was no doubt about the truckers’ sedition. They needed to be punished, dammit.
Highly experienced, no-nonsense Justice Hugh McLean saw a completely different picture. His court order recognized the truckers’ right to continue to engage in a peaceful, lawful and safe protest.
So long as they stopped honking, the protest was legit. A court order had now declared this to be the case.
Send Carney back to the carnival.
Simply put. If Carney does not like your position & you protest or support someone who does, he believes he should be able to take away your assets, rights & freedoms.
