About this blog

In the winter of 2022, working class Canadians brought joy, hugs, dogs, and children to Ottawa. They played road hockey. They danced. They made noise. That protest changed the course of history - and inspired people around the world.

Journalist and photographer Donna Laframboise has written a book about the truckers and their supporters. For the better part of three years, this blog served as a first draft.

Donna is a former National Post and Toronto Star columnist. She is the author of five books - including a children’s picture book about the trucker protest, Opa’s Convoy Letters - and an exposé of the United Nations climate panel.

She is a past Vice President of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association.

Donna’s 2021 report, The Hounding of Roger Pielke Jr., demonstrates that politically incorrect academics have long been targeted.

Donna’s 2021 report, Big Bad Tech: When censorship goes corporate, describes how history is being erased by unaccountable Silicon Valley giants.

Donna’s 2016 report, Peer Review: Why skepticism is essential, explores the many shortcomings of scientific publishing.
