During the trucker protest in Ottawa, many local residents provided quiet, persistent support. In contrast, the chap in the video above took to the streets with a megaphone to express his views:
Welcome to Ottawa. Stay as long as you want. Thank you for coming, welcome…We’re gonna have our freedom…Make yourself at home…Stay as long as you want…You’re in the right place. Thank you for coming. You’re doing the right thing.
When photojournalist Beth Baisch asks him why he supports the truckers, this man replies:
Because every single one of them has had a catastrophic trauma…I’ve never seen a group of people that have suffered like this ever in my life, and I’m here to help them.
