When Freedom Convoy participants returned home from Ottawa, they brought many souvenirs with them. Above is one such example. (I’ve digitally obscured the surname of this family to protect their privacy.)
Copies of this note were likely printed on home office equipment, or at a commercial photocopy center. Along with a photograph of a young couple standing in a lush field with five youngsters (including a babe in arms), we read the following message:
Dear Trucker
Thank-you! Thank-you for standing up for our rights and freedoms! You are giving many people hope!
We are the [obscured] and we run a pig farm in Mount Hope, Ontario. We were there cheering some of you on at Tufford road in Beamsville. We are behind you 100%
You are not alone! You have a whole army behind you, supporting you. We want to encourage you to keep on standing strong. Our kids need to have a normal life again!
You are in our thoughts and prayers!
Numbers 6:24-26 - “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
With love, Stuart and Danielle, Madelyn, Naomi, Luke, Norah and Elise
