Thank You For Caring
'Thanks for fighting for borders to be open so we can see our brother again who is in the United States.'
Some truckers taped a selection of the ‘thank you’ notes they received to the exterior of their vehicles. In the photo above, the notes have been encased in plastic to protect them from the weather.
On the left, gratitude is imparted in two languages. The message on the flowered paper reads Thank you for fighting for our freedom. Merci :-) Sky
Beside the heart-shaped note, the message reads: Thank you for fighting for our Freedoms. The Thayer’s.
The typed note on the right makes it heart-breakingly clear that governments and public health bureaucrats have inflicted deep and lasting wounds on families:
Thank you so much TRUCKERS for doing what we have not been able to do. Thanks for standing up and taking back our lost freedoms. Thank you for caring about our parents and friends that have lost their jobs. Thank you for fighting so that my friends and I can go back to swimming lessons and soccer, and gymnastics. Thank you that restrictions can lift so all people will matter equally. Thanks for fighting for borders to be open so we can see our brother again who is in the United States. Our family is against segregation, against lock downs, against restrictions, and against all mandates. We choose to have freedom to decide. We have seen so much hurt in our friends families, their moms and dads now getting divorced, parents requiring their kids that are not vaxxed to wear masks in the home and even are bringing the other parent to court. I am so incredibly sad for my friends as some have lost people to suicide and grandparents that they could not visit. I am sad that our government prioritises power over taking care of us. I am scared of the hate and anger that the government is making. I am mad that Canadian news is censoring the truth. I look everyday for news about the truckers but they are only telling lies. I know this can all change if everyone chooses not to obey but I have learned that people don’t stand up until it affects them. I pray that Canada will unite together to end this. WE support you. We stand with you. Thank-you for this peaceful protest that we believe will change history in our beautiful country.
Love: 6 kids in Ontario and many, many, many, many others across all provinces.
Underneath this note six children - aged 3, 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13 - have traced their hands on a sheet of paper below this message:
Thank you for fighting for our future! Place your hand on top for our unity.
