Award-winning photographer Seth Vane estimates he took 50,000 photos while the Freedom Convoy was in Ottawa. Over a hundred of them appear in this hardcover coffee table book organized chronologically from the earliest days of the protest until the end.
Printed on high-quality paper and 160 pages in length, this is a spectacular collection of live action, on-the-ground shots, combined with breathtaking aerial photography. The dimensions are 8.5 x 11 inches.
Early last year, Seth raised sufficient funds to print 300 limited edition copies. Here’s a photo posted on Twitter, by someone who purchased one:
A few months later, misfortune struck. Seth explains via email:
Unfortunately I had 3 strokes back in September and October of 2022. I am not vaxed. However it happened to me and it took [me] a bit off track. I am doing much better now.
…I have been hospitalized so far 4 times since last September…They never were able to find a reason why I had the strokes.
Having received numerous inquiries about his book recently, Seth has established a second fundraising campaign. It’s like a Kickstarter campaign, but done with DonorBox. If 200 people pre-pay the $95 cost upfront, there will be sufficient funds ($19k) for a second print run of 200 copies - CLICK HERE to see various purchase options.
In Seth’s words: “I am happy history was documented and I hope people will love to have a copy of these times in Ottawa at their homes.” This is a special book, about a remarkable series of events. For a few brief weeks, Canada shone brightly - we were a beacon for the entire world.
Such moments are rare. Seth has expertly captured them. Now it’s our turn to celebrate them. To cherish them.
THE FINE PRINT: Large books are expensive to ship. Seth is providing two options: physically picking them up in Toronto, or paying an additional $25 for shipping. In the case of the latter, select the last option on the list. Where it says ‘Custom Amount’ in pale gray letters, type directly overtop those words. (95 + 25 = $120)
We don’t know how long it will take Seth to reach his fundraising target, so we don’t know when, precisely, these books will be available. If, as a community, we are unable to drum up sufficient support for a second print run, Seth says he will return whatever money has been raised.
Please tell your friends about this campaign. Please consider buying one or more copies as gifts. The holidays will arrive again before we know it, and few gifts will be as memorable as this one.
I can see why Trudeau is scarred sh*tless.
I will have to look at the book but it seems to be something I'd welcome owning. that said, I can think of at least 6 other people that would appreciate the book as a gift. He may be oversubscribed.
