Enthusiasm in Kakabeka Falls
Ordinary folk. Standing in the cold. Cheering on their trucker heroes.
The 1-minute video above was originally posted to Facebook on January 26, 2002 - three days before the western arm of the Freedom Convoy arrived in Ottawa. Kakabeka Falls is a community of about 6,000 on the Trans Canada Highway. It’s located about 30 minutes west of Thunder Bay’s city hall.
The video was filmed from the cab of a Freedom Convoy truck by WAM - Winipeg Alternative Media.
Kakabeka Falls may be small, but it’s a freedom-loving town. The enthusiasm of those who turned out on that chilly afternoon to cheer on the truckers is impressive and infectious.
I wrote about the Convoy settling in for the night near Thunder Bay here.

Just what I needed today! So heartened to see such support from such a small community. We are not alone in our views!
