Jeff lives in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley - 1,300 km (800 miles) from Parliament Hill. The night before leaving home he posted the above photo on Facebook, along with this message: “Enough is enough. Ottawa bound in the morning.”
During the two-day drive to the nation’s capital, Jeff told the folks back home about the “thousands of supporters through Quebec,” and the “people walking around giving away food and drinks all morning.”
Then came the photos from downtown Ottawa. The trucks.
The spectacle.
The homemade cookies and chocolate bars that said ‘thank you.’
The "generous Ontario farmer” and others showing up with Jerry cans of diesel fuel.
Jeff told people about receiving butter chicken and rice in a “midnight food drop off.” He showed them the hand-written message on the takeout box that said “Thank-you for Saving Canada.”
He talked about the “local guy” who brought $1,000 of “fresh fruit on his own dime to hand out in support.” And about another person who walked around with a sign offering the truckers a list of free stuff from his backpack. “Just ask,” it read, “you shall receive.”
Jeff told people about the 53-foot trailer “loaded with pizzas and…wood fired ovens feeding drivers and supporters.”
Day after day, he helped the folks back home see and feel the gratitude all around him
Part 2: Parallel Universe
Damn, that last one made me cry all over again! Like it was the Sunday morning after the trucks arrived in Ottawa... Thank you, Donna.
SJC, in Victoria.
This 3 week magic moment of people coming together, helping & supporting each other & the community. Makes you question the need for so much government.
Interesting the parallels we are currently seeing coming from Maui in Tulsi Gabbard's & The Rebel's Rumble videos. https://rumble.com/c/TulsiGabbard https://rumble.com/c/RebelNews
