This 4-minute video was posted to YouTube on February 2, 2022. By then the truckers had been in Ottawa for five days. By then many lies had been told about the protest and its participants.
This video shows an Inuit woman chanting the word 'Freedom,’ before declaring: “This is not right. We stand up for our people in Nunavut and all over Canada, and the whole entire world, and our children.”
A Black woman says she came to the protest “to show my support to the truckers and to thank them for taking a stand.” She talks about a “sense of togetherness and pride and joy,” adding that she hasn’t “seen this many happy faces in two years...the atmosphere is just amazing.”
Another Black woman says: “So what brought me here is that I do not recognize my country.”
A euphoric Palminder Singh, a Sikh gentleman about whom I’ve written before, says the trucker protest is all about freedom, love, and unity. “In my dreams, I’m going to be in Ottawa,” tonight, he says smiling. “So see you guys in the dream.”
Love it. But the sad reality is that I will not share my opinions anymore. I have no effect on my now lost friends and family. I dont expect those who are still blind to change their mind. They dont listen or read or discuss. And it seems they will not re-think anything until some power or authority tells them it is ok to do so. But the bond between those who were excluded and rejected for speaking
the truth grows stronger all the time.
Great little video!
