Delivering Freedom One Jug at a Time
Contractors and farmers showed up in Ottawa with truckloads of free diesel.
This 90-second video (click image above) was recorded on February 3rd, when the Freedom Convoy had been in Ottawa for nearly a week. As Laura Lynn Tyler Thompson explains:
The people of Canada are taking good care of the truckers who have become a symbol of freedom and hope. They are delivering toilet paper, diesel, gas and good cheer. Every need is being provided…
The chap in the brown jacket is a member of the public. When Laura Lynn asks what he’s doing, he replies: “Oh, we’re just delivering freedom one jug at a time.” Contractors, farmers, and others, he says, are “coming with tanks [of diesel fuel] on the back of trucks.” They could only park so close, however, so the last leg of the delivery took place on foot.
Asked why he’s participating, he says:
I just want my rights back. That’s it, I just want it to end. I’m tired of the government overreach. I want it done. And finally someone has stepped up to the plate to get it done. That’s why we’re here. We’re trying to help these people.
He then receives a hug from the trucker whose vehicle he has been refueling.
