Concerning the John A. Parkway
Many trucks from western Canada spent their first night in the nation's capital parked along the Ottawa River.
Yesterday, I told you that Ted and Sally - who joined the Freedom Convoy in Saskatoon - arrived in Ottawa after an exhausting cross country journey only to get stuck on the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway. They weren’t near Parliament Hill, or near much else, either.
I’ve mentioned this Parkway before. While it flows through lovely, riverside green space in summer, winter months are windy and desolate.
Ottawa resident Michael Grandlouis, who created an 80-minute video love letter to the Convoy (Part 1 here, Part 2 here) describes how he made a special effort to thank the truckers who were consigned to the Parkway that day (please click on the box below):
