Censored by YouTube & TikTok
Social media companies are silencing the National Citizen's Inquiry.
How did Canadians experience the pandemic? That question is being examined by an independent Inquiry that has heard testimony in five communities so far. Further hearings are scheduled for Vancouver, Quebec City, and Ottawa.
Road Warrior News believes these hearings “will change Canada’s history,” and reports that engineer Dean Beaudry called the National Citizen’s Inquiry “the best thing since the Convoy” during his testimony this week.
Two days ago, YouTube interfered with our ability to watch these hearings by suspending the Inquiry’s channel for a second time. The first suspension was for seven days, the current one is for 14 days. A news report in the Epoch Times suggests that testimony given under oath on Wednesday ran afoul of YouTube’s medical misinformation policy.
YouTube, which is owned by Google, thinks it gets to decide what’s true or false on everyone else’s behalf. Every time it behaves in this manner it spits on the longstanding right of free citizens in free countries to seek out a range of viewpoints - and to make up their own minds.
Censorship used to come from governments and religious leaders. These days, the world’s biggest censors are corporations - private entities such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
The Epoch Times further reports that TikTok (which has links to China’s dictatorial Communist Party) suspended the Inquiry’s account on April 9th. In a statement on Twitter, the Inquiry says it was
unjustly suspended…with no explanation, preventing us from sharing valuable information about our citizen-led and citizen-funded initiative investigating the government's #COVID19 policies.
We believe in transparency, accountability, and the right of citizens to express their views, and TikTok's decision to suspend us is wrong…TikTok is silencing the voices of citizens…
Also, I guess JT did manage to get bill C-11 passed. Pretty discouraging! A close friend and freedom fighting associate of mine is launching “take a seat” and we are encouraging like-minded people to take a seat on local boards. Hamilton Wentworth Board of Ed is looking for 20 citizens- and we are encouraging our associates to volunteer. Last January we pushed back hard when Hamilton City Council was considering continuing vaccine mandates and they deferred the vote. Pretty sure they dropped all mandates last night. So, if we continue to push back at local level, we can MAKE CHANGES! Despite this horrifying censorship on so many levels!
From its inception, I have been suspicious of the 'free' internet. I've never been someone expecting a free platform to have my best interest in mind. Inevitably, (sic) reality begins where the 'rubber hits the road'.
Google does not see you as a customer but rather as the product they sell. Their allegiance is to the person that pays.
The government is no different. The greater good, the needy, the silent majority the voiceless, etc. are all phrases quoted endlessly by placating politicians. Stop being silent and you will be labeled as a member of one of the selfish fringe groups, unconcerned with the greater good.
Ievitably, the bus will run over the individual in the system as it is currently designed, tragic but true. As long as our leaders can denounce our productivity, our effort, our work our life sustaining actions with impunity, that both our fear and guilt turn us into silent pawns in the quest for life, things will not change. And until we convince those in power that they will lose power when ignoring our right to support our lives. we will be ignored.
Reality is harsh. If we lose the right to work they will lose their power as it is our work that is what supports all of government. They have been lulled into thinking that the money printing machine can run endlessly. Reality say it will end, and in the end, reality always wins.
The truckers knew that.
