Unparalleled patriotism, carnival atmosphere.
Many things happened in Ottawa during the Freedom Convoy protest that were creative and beautiful. Those three weeks were part carnival, part Canada Day squared.
Patriotism in this country is usually low key, usually reserved. Flags the size of the one above definitely aren’t the norm. The person holding it provides a bit of a performance, while drums throb in the background.
