Bob Zimmer: Standing with the Freedom Convoy

British Columbia Member of Parliament supported a trucker from his riding who drove across the country.

Bob Zimmer is a Member of Parliament from northern British Columbia. His name appears on page 9 of my new book. Bern Beuckert, the trucker whose story is told in Chapter 1, lives in Mr Zimmer’s riding. Bern drove across Canada with a fabulous sign strapped to his trailer that said ‘Mandate freedom’ on one side - and ‘True north strong & free’ on the other.

His friend, Andy, made the journey with him. Since the truck’s bunk only sleeps one, things were a tad crowded. After they arrived in Ottawa, Mr Zimmer used his own money to buy Bern a couple of nights in a hotel. Which meant that suddenly everyone on their block had a place to shower. Hallelujah!
