Another Mark Carney Warning from Elsewhere
Whistleblower says Canadians will regret electing him: His climate patter is 'an absolute wrecking ball of false claims.'
Desiree Flixer has spent her career in investment banking. In 2020, she was Chief Sustainability Officer for DWS, an arm of Germany’s Deutsche Bank. For years, she moved in the same circles as Mark Carney. “I was part of the World Economic Forum, I worked with his people,” she explains. (After she raised concerns that DWS was misleading investors, she lost her job and became a whistleblower - see this 2021 Wall Street Journal article republished by FoxNews).
During a recent hour-long interview with independent news channel Northern Perspective, Ms Flixer said Canadians will become dramatically worse off if we elect Mr Carney as our prime minister. It’s important to understand, she says, that he has been the global ringleader of a philosophy known as ESG - Environmental, Social, and (corporate) Governance.
The belief that human activity must be highly regulated, that we need to reach Net Zero carbon dioxide emissions in order to save the planet, is central to the ESG mindset.
Ms Flixer describes Mr Carney as “the head of the whole ESG movement globally.” In her view, he spent his time “fear mongering a lot, really talking up a climate catastrophe.” Moreover, she says his climate patter is “an absolute wrecking ball of false claims.”
For the past four years, Mr Carney has co-chaired an organization called GFANZ, which continues to be under investigation by the Judiciary Committee of the US Congress. GFANZ and allied organizatons badger, browbeat, and threaten third parties into climbing aboard the ESG bandwagon.
Mr Carney doesn’t trust people to make the best decisions about their own affairs. He thinks his ideas are superior and should be imposed on the rest of us. According to Ms Flixer, GFANZ misleads the public and suppresses genuine public opinion. She points out that Net Zero policies have already dramatically increased the cost of food and energy. “Europe is a leader in this movement,” she says, and the results are alarming:
look at Germany. Germany's a mess…there was just this disregard, no one cared. And you're going, wait a second, you are misleading the public. You are not providing an accurate or truthful cost-benefit analysis.
You need to ask people: ‘Is it okay if you pay twice as much on your energy bills?’ You can't just force it down their throat or say that it's cheaper when it's more expensive. But that's what it's like to be in the room there with Carney's people. It's just, you're personally attacked, you're silenced, you're dismissed. [elsewhere in the interview, she says: ‘You’re called a climate denier.’]
…they're on the centre stage. They're praised because they're doing good. They all…take this moral superiority stance, when the last thing that they will discuss is the effects on ordinary citizens.

limits on free speech, on the ability to debate, the ability to disagree, to dissent, to protest. Look at Carney’s op-ed in response to the truckers’ rebellion. Calling that sedition and debanking people.

When I started my journey into global warming in about 2008 I was curious about how to measure the earths temperature and very skeptical of the results we were being told by the media. As I studied I found more and more wrong with "The science" being used to push the catastrophic warming narrative but it was several more years before I concluded that the story line was not sincerely accepted by the story tellers. I have now concluded the main pushers of that "Climate Crisis" narrative have nefarious goals and only the many well meaning who accept it without questioning "The Science" or the story tellers really believe it. The shining example of this is the many court cases with youth plaintiffs and activist attorneys that can't define "climate" or "climate change" but seek a cure for bad weather. Mr. Carney has earned a prominent place in the " Nefarious liar's club".
What is with liberal/left Canadians? Why so self-destructive? Where is the self-respect? They are witless. If we elect their climate carpetbagger, I am thinking we are finished as a prosperous, free nation. Not hyperbole!
